In 1850 the property passed to the brothers Felice and Giovanni Ciacci of Castelnuovo dell’Abate.
In 1966, the first vintage of Brunello were produced from the winery and at that time there were 12 bottlers and for this reason this winery is recognized as one of the historical producers of this prestigious wine. This extraordinary mixture of tradition and innovation makes Tenuta di Sesta a reality with the highest potential for growth.
Currently the estate spread about 200 hectares.
Tenuta Di Sesta is located in the southern area of Montalcino, between S. Angelo in Colle and Castelnuovo dell’ Abate in an enchanting location and this land is considered to be among the most suitable for the production of Brunello .
Respecting tuscan winemaking traditions and the ‘terroir’, the winery is able to bring out Sangiovese grapes its fine and elegant character which result in first- class wines. The philosophy of Tenuta di Sesta is to produce wines that faithfully respect its typicality; wines that express the intensity, the elegance and the decisive character of the vine that rules supreme over this land: the Sangiovese.
